A commitment ceremony is often very similar to many other kinds of weddings. The difference is that rather than being a legally binding ceremony, in New York it is a non-legal public affirmation of a couples commitment to one another.

A commitment ceremony may be religious or secular, formal and traditional or loose and unstructured. The makeup of the ceremony will depend on the rules of the officiant and your own preferences. We will work with all of your ceremony party and we will be happy to make this the most joyous day of your lives!

We work with many of the town’s rental companies and find them very amenable to any request. So if you need anything from chairs, tables, linens and dishes to tents, heaters and dance floors, we can help you get them.

Need great food at a reasonable price? We also work with many caterers in the area and can make recommendations based upon our experiences with them. Tell us what you may need or like. Just give us a call!

One way to let your friends and family get to know you, and each other, better, is to show family/friend photos or collages, so we offer a combination VCR and DVD player with TV (not connected to cable), and a great stereo system that plays tapes or CD’s. We also have a large slide-projector screen. If you are doing Power Point presentations or wish to connect your computer to the TV, you will need your own cable since all computers are different.

Want to make smores, or just chill-out by the fire? We offer two fire pits, and can supply the firewood. We also have a ten-foot, screened-in octagon gazebo down by the stream as a wonderful gathering spot. Deer have been known to walk by and check us out, with the hooting owls as a backdrop.
